Kubero Diaz Y La Pesada - Selftitled (1973)
KUBERO DIAZ – Y La Pesada. Music Hall MH-2.404, Argentina release. Originally issued in 1973, this issue 2002 with 3 bonus tracks. DESCRIPTION: The only album (Music Hall, 1973) released by this superb guitarist from Argentina, a key member of the legendary La Cofradia de Flor Solar; really psychotic stuff—heavy grunge riffs and emotional (demented) approach to all the songs; very good reissue of this extremely hard to get album, which features other Argentine legends Billy Bond (with whose backing band, La Pesada, Kubero played with) on vocals, Claudio Gabis on guitar, Alejandro Medina on bass, and Jorge Pinchevsky on violin. This guy is outstanding, don’t miss this!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An Argentinian album. Kubero Diaz was a member of La Cofradia de la Flor Solar and La Pesada. He was assisted on this solo album by Billy Bond (production and vcls), Claudio Gabis (gtr), Alejandro Medina (bs), Jorge Pinchevsky (violin) and Isa Portugheis (drms). It's an excellent album with excellent guitar work on tracks like Todo Es Todo and Polve He De Sacudir. The instrumental Colgado De La Nubes features great violin work from Pinchevsky, whilst Crediendo En Espiral is notable for Kubero's acoustic guitar and vocal performance. Recommended but yet to be reissued.
After this album Diaz spent a while in Ibiza though in the eighties he returned to Argentina and joined Los Abuelos De La Nada.
