Various Artists – Turkish Freakout 2: Psych-Folk 1970-1978 (2011)

Last summer, indie label Bouzouki Joe brought you a choice selection of some of the finest rare Turkish funk and psych-rock grooves, painstakingly unearthed direct from the source in Istanbul. The result: you freaked out (in a good way). With that in mind, we present the second installment of Turkish Freak Out!, featuring another batch of classic tracks from the Golden Age of Turkish music. With spiritual guidance from Mister Jason, this compilation, comprised entirely of original 7 recordings from Turkey’s most creative and experimental artists, is guaranteed to deliver another five-star freak-out. 2. Hi, my name is Jorge and I recently published on Zeronoize netlabel an EP entitled “Ad nutum” with the pseudonym of Satisfacción Lab, the style could be described as a cross between musique concrete, noise, tape music and dark psychedelia. If you want, you can download, listen it and if you are convinced, it would be great to be on your blog.

Have you heard Siddhartha – brillaint psych prog Turkish band from the 90’s? I downloaded a lot of their stuff from their Myspace site & eventually received a copy of the rereleased album. Highly recommended. Prog Archive likes it too!
    Cheers
